I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
